After reaching Ajmer, firstly, we will visit Ajmer Sharif Dargah, which has the Sufi shrine of Sufi saint, Moinuddin Chishti, located at Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. The soothing sound of devotional prayers and the continuous gathering of devotees and every essence of worship, faith, and belief of not only Muslims but also people from other religions can be best spotted in Dargah Sharif.
Adahi Din ka Jhonpra
Then we will head towards adhai-din-ka-jhonpra, which is an important tourist site that has been built in the Indo-Islamic style of architecture. It is the ruins of a mosque that went by the same name. The word ‘adhai’ means two and a half in Hindi, and it’s said that the mosque was constructed in two and a half days. Designed by Abu Bakr of Herat, the adhai-din-ka-jhonpra has ten domes, which are supported by more than 100 pillars.
Then, we will proceed to Soniji Ki Nasiyan, which is an architecturally rich Jain Temple. Popularly known as the Ajmer Temple, or the Lal Mandir, it is situated in Prithvi Raj Marg in Ajmer, Rajasthan, and is very close to Akbar Fort. This temple is worshipped for Lord Rishabhdev, who was the first of the Tirthankaras.
Ana Sagar Lake
Afterward, we will visit the ana Sagar lake. Beautiful parks and marble pavilions surround the lake. The Daulat Bagh Gardens, situated on the banks of the lake, was built by Jehangir. There is an island within the center of the lake which is accessible by boat. Near the lake, there is a circuit house on a hill that used to be a British Residency.
Thereafter, we will proceed to Pushkar. We will have lunch at a nice restaurant. Then, we will visit the beautiful Pushkar Lake. Considered to be one among the foremost sacred destinations for Hindus, Pushkar lake features a status adequate to the holy Ganga river in India. It is said that the creator of the universe, Lord Brahma prayed with Mata Savitri on the banks of this river. As per ancient mythology, when lotus petals from the hands of Lord Brahma fell on earth, this beautiful Pushkar lake was created.
Brahma temple in Pushkar may be a rare religious site that’s dedicated to the lord of creation, Lord Brahma. The reason behind it being extraordinary is that the temple is among the few existing temples of Lord Brahma in India.
